This year, FIFTY FIFTY made its debut in 13 categories of the "Billboard Year-End Chart."
For the first time as a K-pop girl group, FIFTY FIFTY secured a spot on the U.S. Billboard's primary singles chart, the "Hot 100," entering over 10 categories of Billboard's "2023 Year-End Chart."
According to the recently released 2023 year-end chart by Billboard on the 22nd (Korea time), FIFTY FIFTY's hit song "Cupid" claimed the 44th position on the "Hot 100" year-end chart, marking a historic achievement as the first K-pop girl group to achieve such a ranking.
The "Hot 100" year-end chart represents the best-performing songs in the United States, considering actual sales, digital sales, and the number of broadcasts and streams. The first Korean artist to appear on the Billboard Hot 100 year-end chart was Psy, with his release of "Gangnam Style" in 2012. Psy repeated this feat in 2013 with the same song.
Furthermore, FIFTY FIFTY secured the 75th position for Top Artist, 6th for Top Artist Duo/Group, 50th for Hot 100 Artist Duo/Group, and 3rd for Hot 100 Artist Duo/Group.
The song "Cupid" also achieved rankings of 20th in Global 200, 43rd in Global 200 Artists, 20th in Global Excl. USA, 34th in Global Excl. USA Artists, 42nd in Streaming Songs, 68th in Radio Songs, 28th in Pop Airplay Songs, and 38th in Adult Pop Airplay Songs.
In total, FIFTY FIFTY secured positions in 13 categories on Billboard's 2023 Year-End Chart.
Released in February of the previous year, "Cupid" gained popularity on TikTok in April, reaching the 17th position on the Hot 100. With a 25-week chart run, the song set a record for the longest entry by a K-pop girl group.
Jeon Hong-joon, CEO of Attract, expressed gratitude, stating, "Thank you for your love and support for FIFTY FIFTY this year. We plan to challenge the Billboard and the global music market with FIFTY's unique musical style next year, demonstrating wisdom and courage. Please show a lot of interest and support."
Attract, recognizing FIFTY FIFTY's established brand in the global pop market, has decided to reorganize the team around Keena. Despite being in legal dispute, the other three existing members have been notified of the contract termination. Keena recently returned to Korea on the 22nd after attending a private party at the 2023 Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs) in Los Angeles (LA).
