"A documentary chronicling the past 10 years of BTS is set to be released.
BTS will debut the first and second episodes of the documentary series 'BTS Monuments: Beyond the Star' on Disney+, a streaming service, at 5 p.m. on the 20th (Korean time).
'BTS Monuments: Beyond the Star' unfolds the journey of seven boys transforming into the '21st Century Pop Icon' BTS. The video narrates the tale of remarkable achievements and formidable challenges faced through relentless efforts over the past decade. It delves into the hidden struggles, not just the glamorous stage life, and their day-to-day existence.
The initial two episodes, slated for release on the 20th, offer insights into various album-related experiences, such as the debut of the seven members as BTS, the U.S. release of the full-length album 'DARK & WILD,' the cherished 'Hwayangyeonhwa' series, and moments where they set diverse records as BTS. The members vividly capture the essence of those times through interviews recalling pivotal moments.
J-Hope shared his debut story, stating, 'I had been pondering over it for more than two years. However, the answer became so clear. Going with only six friends was, in a way, the most fateful moment of my life.' Jimin, ahead of his solo concert at KSPO DOME in Seoul's Songpa district, expressed surprise at the news, saying, 'Are people coming? Can we do it for two days?' RM reminisced about starting afresh, recalling his first appearances at various overseas awards ceremonies and on a U.S. broadcast.
Behind the figures who left an indelible mark on K-pop lies the pain of growth. Suga shared, 'From now on, no one knows this except the real seven of us...' and Jungkook expressed, 'I keep running and walking, but I don't know where I'm at,' revealing the story behind the splendor.
Ahead of the documentary release, BTS unveiled posters for the first and second episodes on its official SNS at 9 a.m. on the 20th. The posters showcase the performance of their debut song 'No More Dream' in 2013 and the moments leading up to their first grand prize at the 2016 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA).
'BTS Monuments: Beyond the Star' will be exclusively available on Disney+, with a total of eight episodes released over four weeks, featuring two episodes every Wednesday."
