A survey showed that the fan club ARMY of the group BTS shows the most loyal fandom in the United States.
According to the U.S. travel information company "UPGRADEDPOINTS" on the 2nd, BTSn fans scored 88.4 out of 100 loyalty points, ranking first among the survey subjects.
UPGRADEDPOINTS surveyed 3,192 Americans to determine ▲ how far they are willing to travel to see a singer ▲ how much they are willing to spend on concert tickets ▲ how much they are willing to withdraw from their savings to see their favorite singer. Loyalty scores were calculated based on the responses, ranging from a minimum of 0 to a maximum of 100, indicating the time and money fans are willing to invest.
BTS obtained the highest score of 88.4 points, followed by Michael Jackson (76.8 points), Elton John (66.4 points), Lady Gaga (63.3 points), Taylor Swift (60.0 points), and Queen (55.8 points).
The report revealed that BTS fans are willing to travel an average of 240 miles (3283 kilometers) to attend a concert. Additionally, they are willing to pay an average of $500 (about 660,000 won) to see the group perform live.
In fact, fans from various parts of the world, including the United States, Europe, Southeast Asia, Korea, and Japan, attend BTS concerts and events.
Last month, 400,000 people gathered at the "BTS Festa" held in Yeouido Hangang Park, Seoul, to celebrate the group's 10th debut anniversary. It is estimated that 120,000 of the attendees were foreigners.
The second most loyal fandom belongs to Michael Jackson, the "King of Pop," who passed away in 2009. Michael Jackson's fans stated that they would be willing to spend an average of $660 on concert tickets if he were still alive.
