T.O.P, a member of the group Big Bang, has announced his current status ahead of his space trip.
On the 27th, T.O.P posted a photo on Instagram with the caption "SUGAR KINGDOM."
The location shown in the photo is the SpaceX Starship launch pad in Boca Chica, southern Texas. T.O.P can be seen wearing a gray hoodie and sunglasses in the certified photo.
T.O.P will be participating in the "Dear Moon" lunar tourism project by SpaceX, a US space exploration company founded by Elon Musk. The "Dear Moon" project aims to be the first civilian mission to fly to the moon, with a space trip around the moon and back to Earth on a Starship spacecraft under development by SpaceX, totaling six days.
In addition to T.O.P, American DJ and producer Steve Aoki, Irish photographer Leon Adam, British photographer Karim Ilya, Czech choreographer Yemi A.D., American musician and YouTuber Tim Dodd, American documentary producer Brendan Hall, and Indian actor Dev Joshi will also be joining the project.
Earlier, T.O.P stated that it was "fate" to travel to the moon on Elon Musk's spacecraft. Last December, T.O.P posted a picture that read "Dear Moon" and said, "Personally, when I was going through the hardest time four years ago, my dear friend Joel Messler drew this for me."
"This was not an accidental miracle. This was a fateful encounter created by the greatness of art," he added.
T.O.P stated, "It is such an honor to be selected as a member of this project. Since I was young, I have always had a great fascination with the universe and the moon. I am looking forward to personal growth through this project. I want to feel new stimulation and enlightenment."
T.O.P, who debuted as part of Big Bang in 2006, enjoyed great popularity as a singer and actor. In April last year, he left YG Entertainment, where he had been for a long time, with Big Bang's new song "Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter." Since then, he has continued to make unconventional moves, such as starting his own wine business.
T.O.P will be among the civilians to take a six-day space trip around the moon and back to Earth on a Starship spacecraft
