Seoul Fashion Week will kick off on September 5, preceding the established timelines of the four major fashion weeks in New York, Paris, Milan, and London. The Seoul Metropolitan Government intends to provide global fashion enthusiasts and buyers the opportunity to experience the trends of K-fashion brands ahead of others.
The event will encompass fashion shows featuring 31 brands, trade shows engaging 120 international buyers representing 28 countries, and an array of civic events amalgamating fashion, technology, and K-culture. The lineup includes 22 premier Korean designer collections (Seoul Collection, SC), 8 emerging designer collections (Generation Next, GN), and 1 corporate brand.
Throughout Seoul Fashion Week, the Seoul Metropolitan Government plans to progressively release posters and content videos via Instagram. Attendees can relish makeup and photo zone programs at DDP's Outdoor Eoullim Square.
Kwon So-hyun, the head of the Seoul Beauty Fashion Industry Division, asserted, "Seoul Fashion Week stands as the epicenter of K-fashion, seamlessly weaving together fashion shows, trade exhibitions, and civic engagement initiatives. We are poised to transform it into both a celebration of fashion and a business platform for global trendsetters and forward-looking buyers."
