Jungkook, a member of the BTS group, unveiled the first poster for the tracks from his debut solo album, "GOLDEN."
Jungkook shared "GOLDEN: THE TRACKS - PART 1" on BTS's official social media at midnight on the 26th (in Korean time). This track poster provides a sneak peek at some of the lyrics, setting the mood for Jungkook's upcoming solo album "GOLDEN," which will be simultaneously released worldwide at 1 p.m. on the 3rd of the next month. It also features the musicians who contributed to the production and are featured on each track.
These track posters consist of six parts, following the order of the tracklist, ranging from track 1, "3D (feat. Jack Harlow)," to "Closer to You (feat. Major Lazer)," "Seven (feat. Latto)," "Standing Next to You," "Yes or No," and "Please Don't Change (feat. DJ Snake)." Each poster captivates with its vibrant colors and composition, collectively resembling an art exhibition.
The first track, "3D," is an R&B pop song with minimal musical instrumentation and sophisticated rhythms that blend harmoniously with old-school sounds. "Closer to You" falls into the R&B genre with a reggaeton rhythm, featuring Major Lazer, a popular figure in the EDM music industry. "Seven" serenades with passionate and addictive melodies, featuring warm acoustic guitars and rhythms reminiscent of the "UK Garage" genre, which originated in Britain in the early 1990s.
The title song of the album, "Standing Next to You," is a retro punk track showcasing Jungkook's groovy vocals. Jungkook aims to deliver an exceptional performance, hinting at a "complete performance" through this title track. "Yes or No" is an impressive song, showcasing Ed Sheeran's unique sensibilities and guitar performance, while "Please Don't Change" was crafted as an electronic dance-pop tune born from a collaboration between Afropop and DJ Snake.
Among the 11 songs on the album, additional track posters for those not included in PART 1 will be released on the 27th.
"GOLDEN" features songs spanning various genres and moods and is centered around the concept of Jung Kook's "Golden Moment" as a solo artist. Jungkook was actively involved in the entire production process of his first solo album, including the selection of all the tracks, resulting in a high-quality album crafted in collaboration with artists from around the world.
To coincide with the release of "GOLDEN," Jungkook has plans for various activities both at home and abroad. He's also preparing to connect with fans by hosting a fan showcase, "Jung Kook 'GOLDEN' Live On Stage," at Jangchung Gymnasium in Jung-gu, Seoul at 8 p.m. on the 20th of the upcoming month.
