Danielle, a member of the Newjeans, has been cast as Ariel, the main character in the Korean dubbed version of the movie "The Little Mermaid."
On the 12th, Walt Disney Company Korea announced, "Danielle will play Ariel and perform dubbing and OST singing to showcase a different side." They added, "Danielle, who is similar in age to Ariel in the movie and has a cheerful image, is expected to fully embody the charm of Ariel, a bright and curious teenage girl."
"Danielle was finally selected after an instant singing and line test during the audition, with only a score to evaluate," Walt Disney Company Korea said. "It was not easy to sing and act in Korean in sync with Ariel's English lips and timing on 'The Little Mermaid' screen."
In the released photo, Danielle caught the eye with his closed eyes and focus on the song. A mysterious aura emanated from the picture, whether staring straight ahead or looking elsewhere with a thoughtful gaze.
"The Little Mermaid" is a Disney musical film based on the original animated film of the same name, beloved worldwide.
Known as a Disney fan, Danielle made every effort to challenge his new field of musical singing and dubbing, according to the agency. "She was selected to play Ariel through an audition at Disney's headquarters and did shes best by practicing from the stage of preparing for the audition."
Meanwhile, the music video teaser for Danielle's movie "The Little Mermaid" OST "Part of Your World" was released on Disney Korea's official SNS channel at 4 p.m. on the 12th.
