On the 18th, J-Hope is scheduled to enter the 36th Division boot camp located in Wonju, Gangwon-do, to begin his military career.
On the 1st, his agency, Big Hit Music, announced that "J-Hope will join the army as an active soldier to fulfill his military service obligations, and there is no official event on the day he enters the boot camp."
J-Hope entered the unit around 1:53 p.m. on the day of his enlistment, 2:07 p.m. before the admission time, without any special greetings. Jin and other BTS members were reportedly on vacation in a car at the time.
Rescue teams, paramedics, and police personnel were mobilized to prevent safety accidents. The military authorities also made efforts to secure all vehicles by identifying their entry notices and boarding of enlisted soldiers at the entrance of the unit.
Only a small number of ARMYs visited the site on the day, and they kept their promise with BTS to refrain from visiting the site. Fans who attended the scene also demonstrated a mature fan culture, following the control of police and military officials.
Meanwhile, BTS began fulfilling their military service obligations, starting with Jin's enlistment on December 13 of last year. The agency stated that "the company and its members hope for the full activities of BTS to resume around 2025."
