Girl group "aespa" will be making a comeback in May.
On the 16th, SM Entertainment, the group's agency, announced that "aespa is currently preparing for a comeback in May." If they do, it will mark their first comeback in 10 months since the release of their second mini-album "Girls" in July of last year.
Initially scheduled to make a comeback on February 20, the release was delayed due to a dispute over SM management rights. According to CEO Lee Sung-soo, the comeback was cancelled after former general producer Lee Soo-man insisted on incorporating lyrics related to tree planting.
Despite the delay, aespa successfully held their first solo concert since their debut at the Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium in Seoul for two days from February 25th to 26th.
During the concert, aespa raised expectations for their upcoming new songs such as "Thirsty," "Salty & Sweet," "I'm Happy," "Don't Blink," "Hot Air Balloon," "YOLO," and "Till We Meet Again."
With various music broadcasting stages and their comeback in May, aespa will continue to engage with fans around the world.
