"BLACKPINK" has collaborated with Japan's world-renowned graphic designer Takashi Murakami.
According to YG Plus (PLUS), an entertainment infrastructure and intellectual property (IP) business, on the 7th, the capsule collection created in collaboration with Murakami by BLACKPINK will debut at Art Basel Miami Beach, one of the world's largest art fairs, on the 8th.
Murakami designed a new character named "Pandakashi" for the collaboration with BLACKPINK. YG Plus stated, "This character not only expresses the meeting of individuals leading in art and music but also signifies the fusion of boldness and playfulness, craftsmanship, and charisma."
The capsule collection includes a total of 16 items, featuring various accessories such as three hoodies, one long sleeve, five T-shirts, and other flower cushions. The collection also includes a limited edition art print designed by Murakami and a limited edition game machine named "Flower Go Walk."
The BLACKPINK and Murakami capsule collection will be available for purchase on the NTWRK website and application on the 8th. Pop-up stores will be held from the 9th to the 10th (local time) in LA and Miami, representative beach cities on the western and eastern coasts of the U.S.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK recently signed a "group activity" contract with YG Entertainment, the company that discovered them, and has decided to continue with their full range of activities.
