"It has recently come to light that BTS member Jimin's father has been consistently donating 'ramen' to low-income households over the past three years.
According to reports from Nam-gu, Busan on the 3rd, Jimin's father has sponsored over 5,000 boxes of ramen for low-income households in the area, spanning from September 2020 to January of this year. If we convert this contribution into monetary terms, it amounts to approximately 73.75 million won (equivalent to about $56,000).
It is reported that Jimin's father personally purchased the ramen and delivered it to the district office, expressing his wish that it could alleviate some of the meal-related hardships faced by low-income individuals. In addition to ramen, he also contributed around 2.2 million won (about $1,670), which included donations of tuna.
Jimin's father is presently operating a cafe in Nam-gu, Busan, and has plans for further donations during the upcoming Chuseok festival this year. In a related gesture of generosity, Jimin himself made a donation of 5 million won (approximately $3,800) to Nam-gu, Busan on the 25th of last month.
Meanwhile, Jimin is widely recognized for his philanthropic endeavors in various regions. Through his father, he expressed his intent to donate 100 million won to the Chungbuk Provincial Office of Education last month. Additionally, he contributed 100 million won (around $76,000) in scholarships to the Busan Office of Education, the Jeonnam Office of Education, and the Gangwon Office of Education.
Furthermore, as part of his 27th birthday celebration in 2021, Jimin contributed more than 100 million won in donations to the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation, earning him membership in the "Green Noble Club," an esteemed group of high-value donors."
