BTS member Jungkook is causing an unusual phenomenon in which coffins used at funerals are selling like hot cakes.
The Economic Times reported on the 30th (local time) that the coffins used in the music video of BTS Jungkook's first solo song "Seven" were sold out.
In the music video of "Seven," Jung-kook was lying in the coffin and singing, and then courting Han So-hee, the other actor. The video went viral, and even the coffin was sold out.
The news came when a user posted a video on the social network service TikTok showing the store owner's delight, along with a message saying, "The brand's coffins have been selling like hot cakes since the day Jungkook's music video was released."
According to available information, coffins are quite expensive products, costing about $4,000 each.
One fan who heard the news was surprised, saying, "Someone just said that the coffin that appeared in the music video was sold out, so what are you going to do with the coffin?" Another joked, "Are you saving it for when the day of death approaches?"
On the other hand, one netizen responded, "It's funny to think that if a customer comes home and asks, 'Why is the coffin here?' and answers, 'Jungkook uses this in his music video to stay here.'"
Meanwhile, Jungkook released the title track of his first solo single album "Seven" on the 14th. This song expresses the desire to always be with someone you love from Monday to Sunday.
"Seven" is making an explosive response around the world, topping the Billboard Hot 100 chart and accumulating more than 100 million YouTube views for the music video.
