RM, the leader of the group BTS, has announced his involvement in a project aimed at locating the remains of fallen patriots and repatriating them to their families and homelands.
According to sources in the music industry, RM will be officially appointed as a goodwill ambassador for the Ministry of National Defense's excavation and detection team on June 1st and will commence his related activities.
In addition to retrieving the remains of Korean soldiers, the Ministry of National Defense also endeavors to return the remains of U.N. and Chinese troops to their respective countries for humanitarian reasons.
RM's global influence and his message of world peace make him a suitable candidate to engage with this veterans' project.
The veterans' project is also the central theme of the creative musical production "Return," which is produced by the Army Headquarters. Many K-pop idols serving in the military have made appearances in this production.
In addition to his involvement in this project, RM has also been actively engaged in national issues. Previously, he made generous donations of 100 million won each to both the Cultural Heritage Administration and the Overseas Cultural Heritage Foundation, totaling 200 million won.
Meanwhile, BTS will be celebrating their 10th anniversary on June 13th. To commemorate this milestone, the 2023 BTS FESTA will be held online and offline from June 13th to the 17th.
