The group Brave Girls is set to begin a new chapter with their new name, "BB GIRLS."
According to Korean media reports on May 3rd, Brave Girls, who recently signed an exclusive contract with Warner Music Korea, have decided to adopt the name "BB GIRLS" going forward.
Brave Girls was first formed in 2011 under Brave Entertainment, led by hitmaker Brave Brothers. Currently, the group consists of four members, Min-young, Yoo-jung, Eun-ji, and Yuna, who joined as new members in 2016. In 2021, they rose to the top of music charts with their 2017 release "Rollin'," cementing their status as a popular girl group.
Following the expiration of their exclusive contract with Brave Entertainment in February, Brave Girls have been without an agency for a period of time until recently finding a new home with Warner Music Korea.
The members announced the news of their exclusive contract through their social media accounts, hinting at a "summer comeback."
Due to trademark ownership of the existing team name by Brave Entertainment, changes were necessary for the group to continue their activities without any issues. After much consideration, the members chose the new name "BB GIRLS" as a concise and memorable option that still maintains their team's identity. They are now in the process of planning various activities under their new name.
