Suga, a member of the BTS group, properly promoted Samsung Electronics' 'Galaxy' series of smartphones. BTS has been a model for Samsung Electronics' smartphones.
On the 30th of last month, videos titled "Real Model Suga of the Galaxy Series" and "Real Model to Take Self-Video Only with Galaxy Cellphones" were posted on YouTube and blogs.
In the video, Suga is shown performing at a solo world tour concert in Newark, New Jersey, on the 29th of last month.
During the concert, Suga held a special event for his fandom "ARMY" where he took selfies with fans' cell phones. Suga put a condition on the line, stating that only Samsung Electronics' Galaxy smartphones could participate.
Suga said, "Just give me the Galaxy. Not the iPhone," he said. In English, "This product is Galaxy." "I can't use an iPhone," he said.
After the concert, Suga also showed off his Galaxy phone on the communication platform Weverse.
He displayed the sticker on the back of his Galaxy smartphone and said, "This is a tour goods. Doesn't it look great on the Galaxy? Samsung must be smiling." He continued, "This is the true model. Samsung wants me to advertise home appliances. My home TV is also Samsung. No iPhone, only Galaxy."
BTS has been an advertising model for Samsung Electronics' Galaxy S20 series and Galaxy foldable smartphone products since 2020.
They also made a surprise appearance at a new product unveiling event.
The 'Galaxy S20 Plus BTS Edition' was released for BTS fans, and in August last year, Samsung Electronics aired videos of its collaboration with BTS before and after the Galaxy Z Fold 4 series unpacked in Times Square in New York and Piccadilly Square in London.
